Women & Youth Economic Empowerment

Living Earth Uganda (LEU) places a strong emphasis on empowering women and youth as a core component of its mission. Through targeted programs, LEU works to equip these groups with the skills, resources, and support necessary to build sustainable livelihoods and actively participate in the socio-economic development of their communities.

LEU’s empowerment initiatives include organizing women and youth into groups and enterprises, providing them with training in various skills such as agriculture, energy-saving technologies, and waste management. Additionally, the program offers opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, and hands-on experience, helping participants to gain practical knowledge and improve their economic prospects.

The organization also plays a crucial role in raising awareness and mobilizing these groups to take advantage of government programs and other interventions. By building strong networks and fostering partnerships with the public and private sectors, LEU ensures that women and youth are not only skilled but also empowered to become leaders and change-makers within their communities.

Through these efforts, LEU is committed to creating a more equitable and inclusive society where women and youth have the opportunity to thrive
