Gladesi and Grace forecast a bumper harvest of Maize and beans.

"Gladesi is one of the many farmers (PAPs) who is expected to register a good harvest because she used and followed the practices she was taught during the training." Simon noted.

Mrs. Gladesi Biikara, mother to Mr. Bayesiza John, who is one of the Project Affected Persons (PAPs) in Hoima District, is weeding part of her garden of maize and beans.
She is one of of the many PAPs who received training on improved agronomic practices from Living Earth Uganda as part of the livelihood restoration program under the Agricultural Livelihood Support Service package funded by Total Energies.

During the field monitoring visits, Simon Kyamanywa, the Assistant Agronomist-Crop at Living Earth, observed that,

“Gladesi is one of the many farmers (PAPs) who is expected to register a good harvest because she used and followed the practices she was taught during the training.” Simon noted.

On the other hand, mrs. Grace Ashaba another Project Affected Person in Kacuuro Village, Kisukuma subcounty in Hoima District, was all-smiles when we visited to check on the progress of her garden.

Mrs. Ashaba received and planted beans, maize, and cassava, which she is very optimistic will yield high returns.

Living Earth agronomists constantly visit PAPs and their gardens to give on-site practical guidance.
